Host an Event in Westlock
Event organizers are required to submit a Festival & Event Application Form so we can help ensure safety, accessibility, and coordination across services such as parks, roads, utilities, and emergency support.
Submitting an application allows us to:

Confirm site availability

Coordinate required permits or approvals

Support smooth event logistics

Ensure public spaces are used safely and responsibly
Please submit your application at least 8 weeks before your event.

Town of Westlock Annual Events
These events are proudly hosted or co-hosted by the Town of Westlock and are open to all members of the community.
Westlock C.O.P. Car Show and Pop Up Market
Date: July 25, 2026 // 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: West Side Parking Lot at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre, 9603 – 100 Street
Join us July 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a one-of-a-kind car show and local market shopping in support of your local Citizens on Patrol.
The market will be located inside (and outside) the Curling Rink.
Food trucks will be on site.

Blue Suede Music Festival
Date: July 24, 25 and 26, 2026

Each July, the Town of Westlock welcomes the Blue Suede Music Festival to our community. This 3-day festival celebrates Elvis Presley, King of Rock and Roll with tribute artists and performers from all over Canada and the US. Alberta Day

Albertans are proud Canadians, and Alberta Day is an opportunity for all people living in Alberta to connect with the provincial story and celebrate it year after year. It is also a time to recognize that Alberta’s story includes and honours the histories, cultures and contributions of Indigenous Peoples who have lived on and cared for this land for generations.
This year, you are invited to take part in FREE celebrations in Westlock!

Truth and Reconciliation Day Community Event

Location: Westlock Tractor Museum, 9704 96 Avenue
Everyone is welcome to come together in the spirit of reconciliation as we honour the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples. Explore an Indigenous Market featuring local artisans and vendors, take part in Indigenous-led cultural activities, enjoy free food, experience a traditional teepee demonstration, and discover even more engaging opportunities throughout the evening.
This free, family-friendly event offers a meaningful opportunity to listen, learn, and connect as a community. We invite you to join us in recognizing the importance of Truth and Reconciliation while celebrating Indigenous culture, knowledge, and traditions.

Trunk or Treat

Join us for a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun at Westlock's Trunk or Treat, where decorated trunks from local groups offer a safe, festive alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
Dress up in your best costume and bring the whole family for a night of trick-or-treating, music, and community fun. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween while supporting local businesses!
Boo Bash
Date & Time: October 30, 2026 // 9 - 11 a.m.
Location: Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre, 9603 – 100 Street
Calling all little ghosts and goblins ages 4–8! Join us at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Centre Field House for a spook-tacular Boo Bash. Kids can enjoy fun games, collect candy, and laugh with friends in a safe and playful environment.
There will be plenty of room for free play, so come ready to run, play, and have a fang-tastic time! Costumes are encouraged — and don’t forget your trick-or-treat bag. 🕸️🍬
Haunted House
Date & Time: October 30, 2026 // 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: Westlock Aquatic Centre, 10605 104 Avenue
Dare to enter… if you’re brave enough! The Westlock Aquatic Centre is transforming into a spook-tacular Haunted House for ages 10 and up. Explore winding hallways filled with eerie decorations, haunting spooks, and just the right amount of fright.
This family-friendly haunted adventure is designed to be spooky and fun — with creepy surprises, and plenty of laughs along the way. Bring your friends, test your courage, and see who makes it through without screaming!
Costumes are encouraged, and treats will be waiting at the end for those who survive the journey. 🎃

Light Up Westlock & Christmas Parade

Location: Downtown Westlock
Kick off the holiday season in Westlock with our annual Light Up event and Christmas Parade! This festive evening features the official light up of downtown, a cheerful parade through downtown, and plenty of seasonal magic for all ages.

An annual event held by our Volunteer Firefighters to fundraise for the local food bank and Westlock & District FCSS program, Coats for Kids and Families.
Skate with Santa

The ice is twinkling and Santa’s ready to glide! Bring your Christmas cheer and join us for a festive family skate with Santa himself.
Everyone’s welcome. CSA-approved helmets must be worn by all participants 17 and under. No chairs, strollers, sticks, pucks, rings or balls permitted on the ice.
Kids NYE

Celebrate the New Year a little early with an afternoon designed just for young children and their families!
