Westlock Terminals (NGC) Ltd is an independently operated grain terminal on a CN Rail main line. Westlock Terminals Ltd is owned by over 270 shareholders, who are a blend of farmers and businesspeople from the area surrounding the terminal. Westlock Terminals has utilized capital investment from the community to maintain a profitable operation in Westlock. This commitment will facilitate the viability of local infrastructure and provide investors with a positive return on their investment.
Vold, Jones & Vold Auction Co. Ltd. (VJV) has 5 locations throughout North Central Alberta focusing on the sale and transport of livestock. Along the way, they've grown and changed as the province's beef industry has matured. Today, Vold, Jones & Vold Auction Co. is one of the premiere markets in the country, selling live cattle and moving thousands of head more through the Canadian Satellite Livestock Auction they co-founded with the Fort Macleod-Highwood Auction Co. and Schetzsle Livestock at Veteran. Getting to where they are today has been quite a trip.
Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op, located in our region, is recognized as one of the prime agricultural areas in Alberta. Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op Ltd. provides quality seed processing, sales and seed treating applications. The Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op was formed in March 1942 as Central Seed Growers' Association Ltd., and in 1949, was one of the first Co-op Seed Cleaning Plants built in Alberta. They are one of Alberta's largest pedigreed cereal and pulse seed distribution centres. They proudly offer processing and retailing of seed for more than 20 seed growers and provide 500,000 bushels of storage for pedigreed seed.
